My Hobby

My hobbies are not neccessarly in any sort of order are fishing, photography, music you can listen to some of my faves by going to the music page while checking out the photos, also a bit of walking, though only to the corner shop just recently, also staying out of trouble with the wife not always successfull with that one though.Having said that most of the fish I catch are the smallest in the lake a lot of my photos are blurred and they don't make records anymore such is life though.

I like to go carp fishing which usually involves going out for 2 to 3 days with a ton of gear sleeping out behind the rods which are set up on electronic alarms and not catching anythin except perhaps the odd bream. I also go course fishing match style so to speak. My favourite method being the pole which I have more success with I catch more bream this way. By way of a change I do a bit of fly fishing this usually entails getting tangled up as the wind blows the line round my neck losing half the flys on trees on the back cast and nearly having me eye out with the flying hooks more then once, I'm reasonably successfull at this but as yet I have only caught trout and no bream. Whilst doing all this of course I can photograph all my antics using my digital SLR. Musically I like Motown and northern soul and have been known to spin a few now and then. I also have photos of this can you believe. I like to walk a bit got the right boots, rucksack and stuff but don't get out too much this is also a great opportunity to take photographs espescially whilst walking round lakes looking for fish with my walkman on see how it all ties together magic! This year I've got more into the match fishing side which I suppose is where I started back in the early 80's nothing special on the winning of the matches but I have held my own and had a few payouts which isn't all bad problem is I've possibly spent 10 times more then what I've won just on bait alone, but youv'e got to be competetive haven't you?? I recently attended a premier league football match armed with my Nikon and 300mm lense hoping to take some of those action shots that you see in the magazines only to be told by the steward that it was against club rules to take photo's during the match but was ok before the match during half time and after the match when of course there's no action to photgraph. About right for me.
