HOLIDAY SNAPS

After spending 30 years "working at Chloride".13 on the shop floor and 17 as a foreman I was presented with the opportunity to bale out with a sack of money aka voluntary redundancy. As the situation at the company seemed a bit precarious and the clowns had taken over the circus I decided it would be prudent to take the plunge and go for some of that early retirement stuff.

So I put my letter in and was accepted within days (did they want to get rid of me anyway? was my first impression!!) So I accepted and within days there I was retired, ever since then I don't think I have had a minute what with doing (well starting to do) jobs in the house, fishing, investing in new tackle and treating myself to a new camera to satisfy my hobby trip which I had embarked on to stop myself from being bored? Then of course there's the holiday My wife Linda and big sis Christine went to Georgiopoulis in Crete to pay a suprise vist to my little niece Debs(she knew her mama was coming but not me and Linda) who handily this year is managing a bar after doing various things including being a world famous, well in Georgiopoulis anyway Kosmar rep. Well after a hectic few weeks fishing we set off for the Soul in the Sun in Lazarote we went for the 2nd week again this year, the LH crewe got bigger and some the photo's of our antics can be viewed on the photo's page.

Latest news is just got back from the 2009 Soul in the Sun which was againe at the Sands Beach resort, Costa Teguise in Lanzarote. If you like soul music and you have never been to this event you just don't know what youre missing it's absolutly brilliant.
